I'm single. I haven't been single in 6 years. It feels pretty weird but invigorating at the same time. Usually after a break up I get a new boyfriend in less than three months but it's been 4 months so I think I'm going to be single for a while now. I'm fine with it. I'll be graduating in a year and I don't need to have someone keeping me in BR. I have been dating like a mad man, consistently for the past 4 months. Had the break up on Saturday, had a date for Thursday. I will say that all the same kind of guys fall for me. The super intelligent, dry witted, unemployed, no ambition, rich parents kind. This annoys me to no end because I have multiple jobs, starting a business and supporting myself. Pretty much I need to be dating a CEO, but they're too old for me.
I have one hellish year left of school. I'm taking 19 hours next semester with Script analysis, Directing, flipping Stage management, and Econ sprinkled in the mix. I will also be working three jobs. I may not make it through.
I think I'm going to take up swimming. My knee is really starting to hurt from all my walking so I think it may be swim for an hour in the morning, walk for an hour at night with my dog. So if you see a blimp in the LSU Rec center pool, it's just me ;)
Not much else going on. Just trying to enjoy the peace before the storm of my life begins in a few weeks. |

| | pissed off | ] | I am sick of having to deal with turmoil for which I do not create.
I have been stabbed in the back by someone I thought I was at least somewhat close to.
I feel like things are soon going to go back to how they were in high school.
I can be as nice and polite as I possibly can but I will still be talked about behind my back. |

| | groggy | ] | I started a new diet and it rocks! It's called "You: On a Diet" It is a really great book to read and has lots and lots of info. Pretty much the diet is:
Avoid these ingredients: hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, enriched flour, and bleached flour.
Eat breakfast
Walk 10,000 steps a day.
This diet is about shedding inches, not losing weight since muscle usually weighs more but takes up less space. The catch phrase for the book is "waist management" so we shall see if I can manage my waist.
It looks like Scotland is out of the picture. It costs a ridiculous amount of money and with the value of the dollar plummeting I don't think it will be feasible. Pretty much the trip would cost $5000 plus 3 weeks worth of spending money times 2 (since it is $2 to a pound)and I just can't afford that and no matter how rich my family is they are not going to cough up that amount of money. |

I can't be sure that this state of mind, is not of my own design I wish there was an over the counter test, for loneliness. For loneliness like this.
Something's missing And I don't know how to fix it Something's missing And I don't know what it is No I don't know what it is Something's different And I don't know what it is No I don't know what it is |

| | calm | ] | There was a man in my spinning class last night who was talking on his cell phone the whole time. Seriously, it was a spinning class where you sweat your butt off and barely have enough breath the talk to the person next to you much less have a conversation on the phone. If I see this guy again in my class I am going to smack him in the back of the head. |

| | cheerful | ] | And so starts my summer of being really poor. As I have come to realize, I have never had an apartment for the summer that I have had to pay for. (Background: My parents pay for my apartment while I am in school but during the summer its all on me) My first summer of college I worked for my uncle and stayed at my grandmother's house, second summer...homeless so didn't have rent, and now this is my third and I have decided to go Tokyo (the most expensive city in the world) with my own funds and pay for rent for three months. It looks like I will be eating a lot of PB&Js, spaghetti, pesto (only because I am growing basil) and tuna. Sounds pretty healthy actually.
This is also the summer of getting fit. I have joined the Y and couldn't love it more. The people are so nice and there are no Barbies!!! Everyone is average looking and just trying to get in shape. The only draw back is that it is so far away from my house, but it is the nicest Y in town.
So here's to summer. |

| | angry | ] | My last day in France was quite fun and enjoyable until the chocolates that I bought for Matt and my mom were stolen. I bought them early this afternoon since I am leaving early tomorow morning. I left them at the base of the stairs of Russell's apartment in a nook where no one would see them. Well, apparently someone saw them and took them. We were gone from the apartment for a few hours and they were taken. No one uses the stairs so we thought they were safe. Apparently not. We knocked on a few doors to see if someone picked them up but to no avail. We even looked in the trash to see if someone threw them away. No. Not there either. We went to dinner and when we got back I found the bag in the trash empty with chocolate wrappers inside. These were not cheap chocolates. About $30 in total.
Now, what person sees a bag and says "Oh, I'll take that." Yea, it is partly my fault for leaving it there but I would have had to go up 7 flights of steep stairs to put them away. I just can't believe there are still people out there that would take something that is not theirs and then to eat them all in a few hours is fucking wrong. I really hope they get sick from eating all the rich chocolates. Fuck them. |

| | Ready to be home | ] | I must write all this down or I will forget by the time I get home.
Day of arrival: Slept from 2:30 pm to 11:00 am. Yes, I slept for 21 hours. Day 1: Notre Dame - my first experience with a gypsy. They ask "Do you speak English?" and your first thought it "This is someone who needs directions or something" No, it is just someone trying to get money from you. Just as a side note - The homeless/bums are very polite in Paris. Arabic Museum - They have this awesome wall of solar sensitive windows that let only so much sunlight in to be very efficient. They work like the pupil of the eye
Lourve - freaking huge. Not a quite museum at all. There are hundreds of people in the museum and there are so many different languages being spoken that it can be overwhelming.
Centre Pompdiou - a building with all the pipes (water, air, electricity) on the outside of the building to provide room in the building for exhibits and what not.
Day 2: The day I slept until 2 pm. I'm a bit embarrassed.
The Parthenon - Very cool place. Went to the crypt and saw the pendulum.
Eiffel Tower - beautiful in person. A lot of gypsies. Wish I could have stayed longer but there were gypsies around and they make me nervous.
Arc De Triumph - magnificent. I could stay all night and watch the cars go around. I don't know how anyone can drive in the circle.
Day 3: Versailles - yes, spent the whole day at Versailles. Saw the Hall of Mirrors and the king and queens bedroom. The rooms were extravagant. The gardens were nice and it would have been nicer if the fountains were on all the time. The best part was when everyone was laying on the grass, right next to the sign that said "Keep off Grass".
Day 4 & 5: Dijon - This small town that is the capital of Burgundy, which is the capital of French wines. Went biking to the winery (was suppose to be multiple wineries but someone lost the key to their bike lock, and it wasn't me) nearly got hit a few times, got yelled at by a Frenchman.
This trip has been an experience. I did not get the culture that I thought I would get which is wonderful. I have, however, had to sleep on the floor for the past 5 nights because my stupid air mattress won’t work. There is also the issue with Russell’s (a friend from high school that lives in Paris and I have taken over his place for a week) toilet. It has this awful problem. Every time it is flushed, the apartment air is filled with rank. As Russell described it, “It smells like someone pissed on a corpse, ate the corpse and then shit it out and peed on it again.” All is part of the adventure I call Paris. |

I leave for France tomorrow, and as I type it I get more and more anxious. I am excited about going but I know I have these little panic attacks when I go somewhere new. It happened in California the first time I went, but when I went back I was fine. I'm just anxious. |

| | creative | ] | Things have been going well for me this month. I have an interview with Universal Studios tomorrow to be a marketing intern. I don't know if I will accept it because I would really love to focus on marketing for RSC. I also don't know if I will have the time to work, go to school and market movies. Maybe I won't even be offered the job.
For as many theater classes I am taking this semester, I am not having the fun I thought I would be having. Not to rag on Andrea, but she is gone so much with her filming and what not, that it is hard to act like she wants me to since she is not here all the time. I have a major bought of frustration in that area. All the other classes are going well, just not pushing me.
A week ago I had surgery on the back of my leg for a benign beauty mark. I was totally duped into this surgery. I have has biopsies before and they are no big deal and I was told that the dermatologist was going to do something like a biopsy but take a bit more skin. Well, that didn't happen. I had to lie on a surgery table and then also lie on a piece of metal to ground myself. They were using a cauterizing knife!!! Six people were in the room with me! This was no minor surgery, it was big stuff. They cut away skin and went all the way down to the muscle taking matter out. I have twp sets of stitches; one inner, one outer. I was duped!!!
I have this great need to entertain. I want to cook, serve wine and have great conversation. Anyone up for it? |
